He says he vacumes them daily and that pest control came out and that it didnt kill them because they are back and they neighbor also says he thinks theres a bad infestation. well my mom lives upstairs and we've never had a problem with bugs and now all of a sudden tonite we saw one in her bathroom crawling up the wall but her window was open for a lil bit but the maintenance man said their in between the downstairs ceiling and are floorboards. The guy thinks their termites but i want to know is there a chance my mom might have to move out of her apartment because of this infestation?

Me and my friend were messing around in my basement with these swords things we have. Inexpensive ways to keep spiders out of the house?

I am really scared of spiders. Not so much that it's a phobia but they do creep me out a lot. Ever since we moved into the apartment we are in I have had to kill at least one spider each day (that's not an exaggeration). My cat has a bad case of diarrhea.?

Hi, me and my roommate just got a kitten ( about 6-7 months and weighs about 5 pounds) from our work friend about 2 weeks ago. The day we got him we noticed that he was infested with fleas, he also had a bad case of diarrhea, we also noticed that he sneezes quite a bit. That day we got rid of the fleas but all of the other symptoms still exist. Since then he's still has diarrhea, his stools are very slimmy, wet and has a foul smell it's also a very light brown color, he has trouble holding it in till he gets to one spot of the litter box. We are unable to take him to the vet because we have been busy with finals and work. A couple of days ago a friend bought him a Liquid De-wormer which we just gave to him and now his diarrhea has worsened to the point where he can barely hold it before he gets to the litter box. I have been exploring the Christian Orthodox faith. I got in contact with the Priest of the Orthodox Church in my town. I went to a service and talked to him after wards for a good hour. He agreed to be my spiritual father and said to email him anytime I needed help or had a question. Well, when I first emailed him he responded once. He responded to the following email. After that email we talked at the church. A few days after that, I asked a question but he never responded. I waited a few days for him to respond, he never did. I resent that email and asked if he had received the previous one. He never responded. I sent another a few days later. He didn't respond. I went to service about 3 days ago and said hello when I went up for holy bread. I planned on talking to him afterwards but had to leave because my ride was already there to pick me up and I didnt want to keep them waiting. I sent them another email that night. He still hasnt responded. I am talking 15 days of no response to any emails. What should I do? I know his email is working because it is a church email account and the church sent me some newsletters but he hasnt been responding at all. Could mars be made habitable if we moved more mass to its surface from the asteroid belt?

If humans could devise a method for influencing asteroids to relocate, and aim them at Mars, we could "add" mass to the planet, and/or make a large moon for a binary planet system. My idea is to influence the gravity well of the inner core of Mars to create heat, and cause a magnetosphere to form. With more of the suns rays being deflected, and more mass to hold a larger atmosphere, I believe Mars will terraform itself as the dust settles, and become habitable. In my opinion since Mars does not have the same density of metal at its core as earth, the amount of mass needed to create a weak Magnetosphere would be on the order of double to triple it's current size. The technology needed to move material from the asteroid belt, would not be achievable in the terms of propulsion. An asteroid the size of Texas would need a ship of comparable size with a specific gravity influence large enough to attract it and travel at a reasonable speed. The effect of relocating mass to Mars, would also affect Earths orbit outward, and Mars' orbit inward towards the Sun. This is not a bad thing, as you might assume. As the Sun ages, it is getting brighter, and Earth hotter. Earth will need to expand it's orbit in the future to maintain it's current climate. Do you feel my idea holds weight, and can it be done?

Last month my parent's divorce was finalized and i was forced to move from Vermont to my mother's hometown in Missouri. We live in Kansas City, which is a really fun town and where we live is what i am used to so everything is good in that aspect. But because of the bad timing all of the private schools in the area cannot accept me and i was forced to go to a public school to wait till next year for private school. I enrolled myself into the local public high school and went into it trying to be as positive as possible. I only knew a few kids who went there because their parents work for my family's real estate development company. So, it was not completely awkward because i had a lunch table, people to have small talk with, etc. BUT one of the kids of the employees told half of the school about my arrival which of course had to entail the story about my father's affair with his assistant, my parent's divorce, and how i have never worked a day in my life. The first week was completely normal and no one commented on anything about my appearance or anything. But ever since this boy told everyone about what had happened people have been making fun of my clothes (preppy, think Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines), the way i talk (VERY NASALY), my car (mother's old Cayenne), and the neighborhood that i live in. I really try to just let it brush off of my shoulders, but it kind of sucks sometimes to have someone judge you because of where you come from. I did not judge them even if they are not as fortunate as i am, but that does not matter. So how should i try to deflect their judgment until the year ends (which is soon thank god)? I want to babysit, but my dad won't let me?

I'm very responsible and I have initiative, I'm also great with kids, I'm always the one at family reunions watching over my little cousins. (who are between the ages of 3-9) My family is poor and my dad is out of work so my parents can't give me spending money, so I really want to earn some of my own, particually by babysitting. I don't have a license, but I know basic first aid and childcare. I have a major flea infestation in my apt. It started right after my dog was put down (he was on flea preventative) and I've been using multiple treatments for my apt for the last 6 wks. I've fogged 4x, used pesticide spray for fleas, Hartz flea powder for carpet, Pest Control, Borax w/ washings and carpet, Deet sprayed on clothing and Dawn put in shallow dish w/ water w/ light shining on it. I think I ran out of ramshorns for my assassin snail to eat a few weeks ago. I then got a few more plants from my lfs and I saw 2 more snails. A giant mts and a ramshorn snail a few days later. So, I'm writing a little story. Nothing really big or fancy, and it's probably not gonna be that original or cool anyway. Well, the character is someone incredibly vain, who is obsessed with things being clean, and 'cute'. She's supposed to go absolutely mental when, say, she gets dirty. Hence, she doesn't go out when it rains for fear of mud, etc. Now, I tried linking that up with the 'lunacy' or 'madness' the moon is associated with, but also the reflective properties of the moon. What I came up so far, is that she would use a rapier, and her method would be to deflect and block blows. Purely defensive, and countering strikes with equal force, because being vain, she doesn't think attacking is cute, and that standing still and untouchable, is the most elegant way of fighting. Though, I am contemplating making her change, which is where I need help. I'm thinking of giving her two familiars, one, a firefly, maybe? That could spread the spores of 'lunacy' or madness, beserk-like state onto others, or herself, and another, two fish, that can, by swimming in a circle, in the air, absorb attacks, and return them. So if anyone can give me any pointers on that? Also, I'm looking to upgrade her weapon/etc, with better abilities, so any suggestions? And in general, I'd love to hear some output, on this very brief character description :3

Car damaged, neighbor want us to pay as he 'thinks' our 5 year old did it.?

Our neighbour's car was scratched at some point yesterday evening. He thinks it was done by my 5 year old and his friend (who lives in the same cul-de-sac) as they had scratched our car, and his dad's car earlier this year. The parents of the other child say he wasn't out at the time it is alleged to have happened (no one is exactly sure when it happened) but my child came to their door around the time the neighbour said the damage happened. Having spoken to my child, I am convinced he did not do the damage and in fact didn't know anything about it when I questioned him.The neighbour is not happy with this and wants us to pay for the damage. I'm not sure what to do next as he has said 'this isn't over!' I suggested that he contact his insurance company which he has told us he has no intention of doing. I don't want to fall out with a neighbour and wouldn't mind paying for the damage if one of my children had caused it but I really believe that he is being falsely accused. I'm not one of these parents who thinks that their children can do no wrong, I normally blame my own kids before anyone else's but I don't think I'm wrong in this case. What should I do?

I just visited our new home, and it looked like the owner died for a few months and left the backyard untouched for nature to take over. It has a big cherry blossom tree, and some other crappy trees. Okei, well the situation is that I have 2 rooms, both on the third floor, and my house is too big to spray stuff all around it. So, I'm going to focus on keeping spiders away from my 2 bedrooms. My house is not infested or anything, I see around 10 or less a year, but I would like that number to be 0 or as close to 0 as possible. I am deathly afraid of them. We have an insect (6 legs), it has a yellowish tinged transparent body, has a thin body(narrow and long) and a separate head with antennae, black eyes, and has a long tail that folds under itself, and folds out sometimes(maybe when it jumps?), the insect is totally about 2 mm long, extremely delicate, hardly was able to catch one without it squishing. They also seem to jump like a flea, but it does not look like one at all.They come out in the summer, we haven't seen them all winter. They also seem to come out promptly at 9 o'clock. We notice them as we're sitting on the couch. We could not distinguish where they are coming from, most likely from the couch, but possibly from the carpet? I don't know. I was unable to send a photo because it is too small to see detail on a camera, you can only really see it under a microscope. Please help! Help finding affordable, safe, roach free apartments in DC?!?

I am planning on moving to DC in a year or so for grad school and have been working on saving up for the move. Will malaysian trumpet snails kill baby assassin snails/plants?

I think they're MTS, not sure. They're the little pest snails that you see everywhere in all of the Petsmart tanks. I got 3 of them to feed my assassin snail for a while. Ant attack! Tried over three kill attempts, but still have ants. How to kill them. anyone tried foggers?

We are in the South. We had a pro spray before move in, both in and out of the home. We had Orkin spray two weeks later, the seller only paid for two treatments. We sprayed the yard with one type of spray. . We used a Decon aerosol can spray. We put down granules, they walk over them! And 5 weeks later, STILL ANTS. Big ones, red ones. tiny black ones. We bought foggers, But we are worried about blowing up the house (and still have ants). The home was vacant for 2 years, and lightly wooded yard. We are clearing out debris away from the foundation, and filling cracks. Orkin says we need to do this 1st, as any pest control treatment from them really wouldn't work right 100% now, and they would need to be out every two weeks for a while. Can't afford that! So last night I sprayed the front flower bed, removed part of a nest, saturated what was left of the nest, and this morning ants are back on the trail! I am at lost. I keep telling myself the problem is 80% better from the day we took the keys, it was THAT BAD! I guess I am expecting a miracle! Will foggers be a good last resort? are they safe? effective? Upstairs Neighbor is Smoking, what can I do?

I live in a rowhome and although the walls are not necessarily thin, when the neighbor upstairs smokes the stench is unbearable! I talked to her this afternoon and she even though she admitted that she smoked, she tried to convince me that the smoke was coming from "somewhere else"! She even tried to convince me that it was coming from the apartment next door, but when I told her it was vacant she had a blank look on her face. I can smell the smoke again and she said she "Only smokes three cigarettes a day" She told me she also has cancer now and she says she even smoked while wearing the patch. guinea pigs don't have hairloss when they are old, so yes id say its mites. my guinea pig had mites and he lost his furr and the other guinea pig he lives with constantly didn't show signs of mites besides scratching, the only thing i could think of it would being is a fungus or mites, it would be really uncomfortable for your guinea pig so you should do something to treat it, don't say its not worth taking to the vet because it is, all they need to do is give you medication and it works, or you can go to the petshop and they will give you some over the counter stuff for mites, use it and your guinea pig will be happy and her hair will grow back.. also, my guinea pig who was loosing his furr from mites also got mad and bit but he never did before, so shes probably biting because shes in pain and shes irratated, get her some treatment, if not thats really cruel. for the meantime you could bathe her and brush her hair.

I'm playing Kung Fu Panda 2 on the Ps3 and I'm at the part pretty early on in the game where there are two wolves standing on top of a wall blasting cannons at you, the directions sayo to "Press the square button while Po is red to deflect the cannons", but I've been doing this for like an hour now and they won't deflect. The problem is that Po stops turning red by the time the cannons get to me and I'm very good at video games, especially when it comes to timing, so I know i must not be doing something right, everytime I press the square button when the cannons come at me, Po either get's knocked out or moves and misses it completely, I've tried all different timings and nothing is working, and this is getting very frustrating espcially since there are no walkthroughs online for the Ps3 version...So if anyone has played this game on ps3 and knows what to do, pleaseeeee let me know, of if someone can find a website where they have a walkthrough for Kung Fu Panda 2 for the ps3 that I might of missed somehow that would be awesome...PLEASE HELP!
