How do I get these swallows out of my walls?!?

I feel helpless. These birds are taking over. I live in a side by side fourplex and my 3 neighbors can also hear the pecking, clawing, and scratching by these pests. They swarm around my building, treating the inside of my walls like a hotel just coming and going whenever and shitting all over our stuff. I'm afraid they're not going to leave and that they will peck through the walls. They are also perching on our porch awning for hours outside of my bedroom window. I need to get rid of them right away! Should I call my landlord?
