Will malaysian trumpet snails kill baby assassin snails/plants?

I think they're MTS, not sure. They're the little pest snails that you see everywhere in all of the Petsmart tanks. I got 3 of them to feed my assassin snail for a while. One of them just burrowed completely under my 2 1/2 inch substrate. One is being eaten and the one was on a piece of baby tear and is now gone. Will they kill any of my baby tears? I just planted 3 pots like last week and I don't want them being eaten or have the stems get eaten. I also have 2 or 3 tiny 1/5 penny sized assassin snails somewhere in my tank. Will these get killed? Also, if they're not MTS, what kind of snails are they?
